3 lbs. That's the weight of the human brain. Billions of people on earth each have 3lbs of gray matter in their skull, yet it never ceases to amaze me how artistry elevates a lucky few to the highest form of originality above us all. This is the case with New York-based artist, Jonathan McIntosh.

Jonathan studied Graphic Design and Computer Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and is a mixed media creative artist with a professional background in print and digital graphic design.

C.S. Lewis once said, "No man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth... you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it."

Jonathan McIntosh ahs found his truth in art. He thrives on taking viewers through a kinetic-visual adventure spanning print, digital, auditive, and interactive artwork. His work evokes a reaction in all who observe it. That's the fun part about Jonathan's art, each viewer takes away something different. The commonality of it all is that you cannot be a passive observer. Jonathan beckons you off the couch and onto a visual journey where you can choose to take the red pill and have your mind blown... or you can take the blue pill (not that blue pill, the one Morpheus offers Neo in The Matrix)... and still have your mind blown.

Jonathan put it best when he said, "I create print, digital, auditive, and interactive artwork, inspired by my love for the intermixing of different creative mediums. Art is all things and all shapes. My artwork and style express what and how I see pop-culture envelope and how we perceive it. In essence, I'm a modern pop artist."

You cannot put Jonathan McIntosh's art into a box, for in doing so you simply put it into a coffin. It needs to be free to express itself, anything less kills it.
